Analog Engineer

Member of Technical Staff position is for experienced and innovative Analog Design Engineers to contribute to our Machine Learning silicon implementation:

  • Architect, design, implement, and verify circuits, logic, systems, algorithms, etc. to meet product requirements (including schematic entry, simulation, layout supervision, etc.)
  • Development and use of behavioral models for simulation of analog and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Verification of analog and mixed-signal sub-systems and the entire design using transistor-level and behavioral models.
  • Report on design results through design reviews and other detailed design documentation, in accordance with company quality requirements, and resolve action items generated as a result of reviews
  • Attend design reviews to provide input and learn from other designers’ experiences
  • Validation of design by laboratory measurement
  • Working knowledge of industry best practices
  • Work under the general supervision of project lead and/or senior project team members

Minimum Qualifications

  • MSEE/ PhD with minimum 3+ year experience in deep sub-micron analog/mix-signal circuit design.
  • Strong fundamentals in circuit theory, design, and layout
  • Competence in high-level languages (e.g. C), scripting languages (e.g. Python, TCL, Perl, SKILL, csh), UNIX, and version control systems.
    Experienced in Cadence design flow

IC Flow and Back-End Engineer

IC and system-on-chip flow expert, proficient in hardware synthesis, placement, routing, along with timing flows to delivery GDS to a foundry.

  • Assemble and build synthesis flows for padring + digital subsystems
  • Analog + memory MACRO placement and floorplanning
  • Handle SDC constraints for multi-clock designs
  • Generate speed/area/power reports for design verification and timing signoff
  • Handle DFT, scan insertion, clock tree
  • Final physical verification on LVS + DRC + fill
  • ECO flows
  • Process evaluation and target libraries, technology selection

Minimum Qualifications for this role:

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • B.Sc, M.Sc in EE preferred
  • Direct involvement in tools flow development for high-volume production designs

Sr. Product Engineer

Primary responsibility to bring IC products to high-volume production. Primary interface to internal design teams, primary interface to suppliers and other 3rd party contractors and interfacing with customers regarding any and all production related issues. Responsible for the product from product inception all the way through end of life of the product.

Main duties for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Interface with design groups to ensure manufacturability of the product, including testability, yield, and quality
  • In case 3rd party IP is integrated with the product, ensure manufacturability, yield and testability of 3rd party IP
  • Close interaction with quality to ensure necessary quality requirements are properly implemented
  • Deliver production test program for the product, including HW development and bench correlation
  • Manage test program transfer to overseas test-house
  • Execute on product qualification of the product, including selection/qualification/interfacing with necessary 3rd party partners (HTOL, ESD, LU), package qualification and board qualification
  • Define and deliver package for the product
  • Drive product qualification schedule
  • Deliver required product qualification documentation
  • Maintain traceability of production flow
  • Drive ongoing cost reduction for the product (test time reduction, yield optimization)
  • Day to day management of foundry partner(s)
  • Day to day management of test partner(s)
  • Day to day management of packaging partner(s)
  • Own tape-out process including check-list
  • Manage field returns
  • Manage production release process
  • Manage product qualification budget
  • Own cost model and manage over-all cost trade-offs during product development process

Minimum qualification for this role:

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • B.Sc, M.Sc in EE preferred
  • Candidate has been responsible to drive silicon products into high-volume production with tier-1 customers
  • Experience with auto-motive products is a plus
  • Experience with embedded flash technology is a plus
  • Delivered products in advanced CMOS process nodes
  • Thorough understanding of industry requirements for high-volume Si product qualification and involvement with standards bodies (JEDEC)
  • Excellent network with tier-1 suppliers in the entire silicon supply chain
  • Fluent with Teradyne or Advantest test platforms
  • Proven debugging skills
  • Proven program management skills
  • Great team player, communicator and collaborator
  • Role is based in Irvine and will require occasional travel to meet with customers and suppliers

Board Design and Application Engineer

Primary person to develop PCB reference design for silicon products, and be the primary interface to customers on reference designs.

  • Develop the PCB solutions, and packages onto an Arduino platform, including managing external engineering and production resources
  • Track and release reference design APIs to customer
  • Handle hardware design-related customer requests
  • Proficient with analog/mixed-signal test methodology: low-noise measurements, test scripting, device characterization.

Minimum Qualifications for this role:

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • B.Sc, M.Sc in EE preferred
  • Direct experience in PCB design, testing and development
  • Python and C coding skills for customer and lab software
